The backend actually refers to the sales process.
You offer a product at a fairly low price initially, and then come back to your current customers (or your list in general) with a more expensive offering. Sometimes yet another even more expensive product is offered later.
This gradation is also known as "the upsell".
Hey, is it just me, or are you incredibly bored with that explanation too?  |

Ok, back end is your list, your customers, people that have bought from you. You should keep in contact with these people and you do it in autopilot, with your autoresponder, sending information and some offers each now and then. The back end has a higher conversion rate and you make bigger profit from it. You only have to build relationships with these people.
Front end, it's for example your home page or squeeze page or whatever you want, getting traffic, etc, for me it's a big system. The point is that you must have new customers getting into your business everyday and it's hard, because there is a competition, it's hard to sell, then you have to improve your front end in each area and systematically to attract potential customers. |
