Trying to navigate through CJ. Help?

Hi Everyone,

Now that my site is up and running, I'm starting to apply for affiliate programs. I joined Commission Junction, applied to a merchant's program and was instantly accepted. Great.

But I have no idea what the proper protocol is for securing their link with my affiliate ID in it and a search of CJ's help database got me no where. I see that there are an assortment of links to choose from, from banner to text to specials sales links, etc., but how do I properly choose from what's available?

If anyone here can point me to a good step-by-step "idiot's guide" for this, I would be forever grateful.
