The meaning of the word "Keyword"?.

This is probably a stupid question, but I don't quite understand the meaning of the word "Keyword" - in all I read this seems to be mentioned a lot. I off course understand that it is a word the search machines look for, but is it a word in your web address or is it just the popular words the machines are looking for ”right now” on the web???

Hi Mark,

A 'keyword' is the search term that a user may enter at a search engine.

For example, someone who wants to find a site that sells printer paper might enter 'printer paper' at a search engine.

There is a comprehensive Glossary here at NPT.

I should really put that in the navigation somewhere, eh?
