Hi jpn,

I am very tempted. Yet isn't it the same thing (minus the videos and handholding) which is offered here by Rosalind for a lot LESS money?

Before she went to the -other- side Smile, Rosalind was strictly an affiliate and made comparable money. Now even though she's selling her own product, she spread out and does a lot of affiliate IM sales and claims her income is substantially greater. Therefore I conclude that the same principles apply. I am actually surprised that she did not try to push that product in her newsletter. I would imagine judging by the added bonuses being offered that there must be a 50-60% commission on sales.

How much are those 7 weekly videos, and phone calls, and lifetime support really worth? It is well packaged. There is a money back guarantee for the first 2 weeks... Smile

I logged into the forums today to about about programs like this.

I am wanting to begin promoting my affiliate more actively, but before I got started I heard about affiliate highjacking. Since I hate to waste money on advertising just have my links highjacked, I want to find a economical but good program to help me hide my affiliate links well.

I am planning to advertise on my site as well do ppc and later email advertising.

I'd find it very helpful to hear what others are using and like or dislike before I buy one.

JPN, Alexandra et al,

You've given me a good idea for an article... "X Number of Reasons Not to Promote a Product". Smile

Re this specific case... let's just say that although Ewen and I agree on the topics of email marketing for affiliates, I don't think he quite fleshes out all that affiliates need to know, and those 'extras' - as you pointed out Alexandra - are covered quite well in the Super Affiliate Handbook.. for all of $47.

As for hand holding - I can do that too, but you'd have to be male to qualify. Smile

Cheers,
Ros

Oooh, Oooh...I'm male!!

First class male, no less. Cool

My rule of thumb for all potential products and services to buy and/or promote is waiting a minimum of 6 months to determine its effectiveness and value.

If there's still good buzz and reviews about it after that time, I check it out.

I believe a year is even better.

Mind you, setting up hot trend or fad campaigns to capitalize on what's selling right now is fine by me if the merchant has established themselves at least that long.

Big super launches come and go, and I've seen people wondering "Hey, whatever happened to X product or X superguru???"

If it's strong enough to survive at least six months online, then it's worth checking out.

Hi All,

I'm actually kinda glad I didn't buy it, even if I had the cash...

I guess two things to consider with such a program are
a) Can he teach it so you can actually do it, and
b) will you actually do it they way he teaches it?

Jet Li may be one of the world's great martial artists, but...
can he teach ME to do it? And am I willing to put in the 6-8 hours
a day, every day, of hard work to become that good?

So can Ewen teach? And will we do anything with it anyway?

I spent a LOT more than that on a mentoring program
which turned out to be somewhat broken.

A friend of mine spent more still on Cory Rudl's mentoring pogram and,
while that one isn't broken, she isn't doing anything with it.

Hi all,

I wouldn't say that, exactly.

Want a video tutorial on affiliate marketing that is 'special'? Wait for it... Smile I'll let you know when it's done.

Hi,

As a consumer of information products, I must say if a product has genuine instructional value, it does not matter if it's a 'clone' ( as opposed to a copy, that is). As long as the information value is present and the content well presented, the product has it's own unique value. It is then up to the purchaser to follow up unto his success. Whether one product is considered better than another is actually to a great extent subjective. There is considerable variety in the way different people present their stuff. One person's style may not appeal to all people, thus opening up the market to alternative products.

Also, some people may like to have a feel of the subject matter in a particular area from the point of view (read presentation) of a few individuals. These are the ones who will, in their passion, purchase a few products all treating the same area of interest. The result is very likely to be the acquisition of a a more varied, rounded and therefore more insightful approach to the particular area of interest.

The point I want to make is: Don't exclude any product which may have it's own merit.

I'm wary of stuff like that.
