| Has anyone tried out SBI's SiteSell Value Exchange? At the time I bought Ros' SAH, the jury was still out on its effectiveness. |

Hey spotmea30,
I've still not used it 'cause I'm not 'into' link exchanging.
I 'value' exchanges that happen naturally, like when someone really enjoys my blog posts and links to it and vice versa.
But maybe someone else on the Forum can share?
Cheers,
Ros |

Hi there spotmea, I tried it once, for one of my sites. I'm not an SBI member, and they sent me about three sites I could try to swap with, a few weeks ago. Well, I sent the exchange request to the sites, as they were suitable exchanges, and I've heard nothing since. I don't know if a) They thought my site sucked and didn't want to swap.
b) They didn't want to swap because mine was not an SBI site - and there's obviously were - you could tell by the design (it was better than mine)
or c) They were tired of people asking for link exchanges.
There would be no harm in you giving it a shot, as they do seem to send suitable exchanges. I joined a different exchange program for a small fee, but I tired of it quickly, as I was getting scores of exchange requests that were completely unrelated to the content of the sites I was swapping. If you do exchange - do stick to sites with related content, or it's not worth it. |

I have used it and I personally didn't care for it. With my first list of sites to evaluate for a potential exchange, I received 22 links. By the time I finished looking at all of them, weeding out the sites with formatting errors, typos and competitive information, I was left with 2 potential exchanges. I never did request an exchange either. By that point, I figured my time was better spent else where.
However, I do still periodically drop an affiliate link for the exchange program here and there. It does get you a permanent cookie after all! I also believe there is a lot of good information in the MYLW ebook offered on the same Value Exchange page. |
