Hi all,

Just got a new little site up, http://www.14horizons.com, selling log templates.

This one is really low maintainance and I feel comfortable using AdWords to promote it so I can get some money in while my other site matures.

I'm not expecting much except constructive criticism here. It didn't take me that long to create and I'm honestly nervous about actually selling a product of my own.

Any help as far as what can be done to improve the sales letter (such as it is). It's brand new so I don't have any testimonials that I know would help.

Really, any ideas at all would be great.

Many thanks,

-Mark

Greetings A Posse Ad Esse,

Well, been subscribing to the Forum for a while by way of intraVnews RSS Reader and this is my first time out in the school yard so to speak ... LOL So, hopefully, I can share stuff that can help.

Your latest website, in my opinion at least, is short and sweet, and to the point. I like the way you display the logo samples at the bottom, though the page numbers look like one continuous link (which should be corrected).

Also, unless this was intentional, your top "Pegasus Template Package" graphic on the home page overlaps the right side border.

I do like the headline, though.

The expense in producing graphics pushed me into learning how to make my own, and its nice to see firms out there offering the service at affordable prices for those who'd rather have a professional do the job.

Best Wishes With This! Surprised

Warmest Regards,

Thanks for the feedback,

I use Firefox and hadn't done that much testing in I.E., I'll fix that overlap right away cheers.

I'm afraid I can't take credit for the layout of the logos at the bottom nor fix the problem with the link.
They're in a java affiliate feed direct from pixellogo.com and I don't think I can touch them. Might be able to make a CSS rule, will take a look.

Thanks again,
-Mark

Hey There,

Also forgot to mention this. You stated in your post that you were planning to use AdWords to get the word out.

You might want to try http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ (Disclaimer: I am in no way, shape, or form associated or affiliated with this site) for assistance with your keyword research.

It' a free tool that provides keyword results from both WordTracker and Overture simultaneously, and has proven well worth its weight in gold to me personally as far as free services go regarding keyword research.

It just gives the counts per day from both services, but its still pretty good having WT and O results on one page. The keyword tool in AdWords can help too.

Have 1,998 keywords in my Car Insurance campaign between the three services! LOL

Anyway, hope this helps with your AdWords campaigns now and in the future.

Cheers for the suggestion. I'm a big fan of the DP suggestion tool, been using it for a while for keyword research.
Nichebot is also very handy I find.

I clicked on the link twice and received a message saying I couldn't connect to the server. I can get to other sites just fine...could your server be down?

This ones actually on hiatus at the moment. I was having issues with the delivery and taking time away from my other sites. Smile
