In a 'Meet and Greet' post, Denise from Dallas mentioned that her favorite affiliate software is XSitePro. So, I bought it and have now spent a few hours checking it out.

So far, so excellent! Once I've fully explored its capabilities, I'll report my findings to you. My immediate response however, is that it will probably replace Homesite in my arsenal... no more HTML tweaking... Hurray! Smile

If you can't wait for my report, check out XSitePro now.

Cheers,
Ros

I am in love with this software. I built my Telecommuting site in about one week - has about 90 pages and growing - and it went SO much faster then the other sites I've built in frontpage. I really enjoy using this product!

Rosalind,

Hi there! I have two questions, first; is your e-book "SuperAffiliateHandbook" up-to-date with today's requirements?
There is a lot going on nowadays.

Second; SBI is pretty famous, everyone knows by now, what would you choose if you are a beginning affiliate? Mind you, I learned a few things since I started to try and earn income through aff. marketing.

All the best to you, your newsletter is superb, the best around I think.

Regards,

Ton

Yes -- I am also a former Front Page person -- former -- because I now use and like xsitepro. Great software.

Ton - I think Ros keeps it quite up to date. At least when I got it last year it was current then. But we'll see what she says.

Hi guys,

I agree on this one. I've tried the rest, now I'm using the best. IMO. It's just so easy to use and they are about to launch a whole series of tutorial videos to go with the software which will make it even easier to get to grips with it Smile I'm pretty competent using the software now and have learnt a lot from being a part of the XSitePro forum.

I'm not so hot on affiliate marketing, so hopefully I am going to learn a lot from being a part of this forum as well Smile

What???? People using Front page? Oh my Gosh !!! I thought that was long dead and buried !!!

I guess as someone who takes delight in handcoding with a bit of automation you cannot beat Dreamweaver. But for all my CSS work I use TopStyle Pro, and HTML-ProValidator v6.0.

These are certainly not applications for starters but if u really wanna get into the innards of web-deisgn you cannot beat Dreamweaver. knowledge of these applications help you design HTML clutter free pages which are 100% search engine friendly like with CSS.

I've been using XsitePro since late spring / early summer and it is the only sitebuilding software I use now. I don't even have Frontpage on my desktop any longer.

Rosalind, you will love it! I'm sure Denise has said this in her post, but I know that it is THE key software tool that has totally turned my business around.

Hi All,

A very late reply to Ton's question...

The last update was in late May of this year.

Of course, for additional late-breaking news, stay tuned to the NPT Forum! Very Happy

Hi everyone.

I'm a total newbie, and this is my first time in a forum.

I have a quick questioon about SBI vs XSite Pro. I read today that SBI is great for large content based sites and that XSite Pro better for smaller sites. Is this true, or would XSite Pro be just as good for building large sites with lots of content? Would appreciate anyones help on this Very Happy

Thanx,
Gibbo

Hi Gibbo,

I can't comment too much on SBI as I have no experience of it but I understand that SBI is great for large sites, which if that is what you are going for and don't intend to do any more or many more then SBI might be worth a look, as there is a yearly charge per site, I guess that will become expensive if you wanted to do many sites.

XSitePro on the other hand can handle any size of site anyway. My dog site which I am still growing is already 330pages of content, information and products. I know of other people who only use XSitePro and have pages of 800 to 1000 in size. Others, myself included have sites around the 50page mark which can be created very quickly in just a few days, in some instances, just a few hours if you already have your content to hand. Then there are those that have a single page site which is just a sales letter. As XSitePro comes with many templates (over 150 at the moment and they are continuing to add them) there are many options.

The great thing about creating a large site with XSitePro is that if you need to make a site wide change, you can do it in just one location and it will make a change to the whole feel of the site, either your template itself, or if you need to change some links etc.. That's why it is called XSitePro - Total Site Management Smile

With it's Import Features, Multipage creation wizzards, and ability to split long documents into many pages (up to 100 pages in total), this program was created to handle large and small site creation.

As I said, I don't know too much about SBI but XSitePro handles everything that can be thrown at it.

Hope that helps.

Wow, thanks for the info mixeduptunes.

I'll definately look into getting hold of XSite Pro. What's your dog site like? Thats what I'm doing my website on, but so far I have no where near as much content as you!!

Do you think there is too much competition for dog sites or do you find that yours does well?

Thanks once again,
Gibbo

Hi Gibbo,

My dog site is in my signature. It's not really making much money but it's one of my first sites, and as it was a way to play around with the features of XSitePro and it was about something I liked as well, it's kept me going.

I'm still trying to learn lots about affiliate marketing etc so at some point it will hopefully all click for me and then I will probably do an overhaul of the sites I have done.

Anyway, if you haven't already taken a look, the XSitePro videos will give you more of an idea of what can be done with the software (the link is also in my signature Smile )

Oh yeah, as for dog sites - I would hazzard a guess that there are a heck of a lot of sites like that and that if you really want to, then focus on a smaller section of it. Either a dog breed or a particular dog product. Thats what I will be doing in future.

Hope some of that has helped.

Hi mixeduptunes,

Thanks for the advice on the doggy site. I have one more question regarding XSite Pro and SBI. I know that SBI is a complete package including domain name registration and hosting, does XSite Pro come with the same or would these be purchased separately?

I know that for web hosting it is important to shop around and get a good one, however, does domain name matter where you buy it from or will the cheapest do?

Thanks,
Gibbo

Hi Gibbo,

XSitePro doesn't come with the hosting or domain names.

IF you are looking for cheap domain names then www.namecheap.com or good quality hosting... hostgator.. I have a reseller account with them, for many reasons, if you decide to check out hostgator and want to give them a go, PM me and I will send you the code which will give you a free month Very Happy

I guess the way you can look at it, SBI charges you per site, so you have a high yearly fee, fair enough including hosting and domain name, but then if you want to do a second site, you have to pay the same again. XSitePro is a one off fee, and then all you pay for in future is your domain name, and hosting and usually hosting accounts will let you put more than one domain name on anyway... therefore giving you more flexibility and less cost.
