Hi:

Rosalind, just purchased your book and read it cover to cover. I have a domain name parked but it's address has a - (hypen) in it. And after reading your book that is kind of a no no. I also have a merchant account with stores online and will be spending the next few weeks setting this up. My question is can I do affiliate marketing on my merchant account. My goal is to sell books/information on this site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Benita

Welcome to the forum! Domains with hyphens are acceptable for
linking online. They just get confusing when telling someone to visit
your site.

Take for example, buy-books-online.com would be spoken as,
buy dash books dash online dot com. Not exactly an easy way to
say it, versus buy books online dot com.

A merchant account is good for selling your own products. If you
are selling affiliate products, the affiliate company will have their
own merchant account.

Hope that makes sense.
