A lot of what I do is research on marketing tactics, while putting much of it to use - eventually. Getting a press release submitted, putting myself out there for the whole world to see, was nerve racking. So many questions raced through my head that I wanted each of them answered before actually submitting a release.
Press releases are something I have wanted to do for a long time, but wanted to "get it right" first. This goes back to so many people saying to just "do something" instead of waiting for it to be "perfect". I finally followed my own advise.
I was up real late Saturday and submitted a press release at midnight. At 12:30 AM, a lady from PRWeb.com called to discuss it. Many of my fears were calmed when she said the press release was written well, very professional, was within the allowed word limit and no changes were needed.
All she needed was the contact information to put with the release and know when I wanted it submitted. That press release was published today just after midnight. Now we wait to see what effect it has on getting visitors.
You can see it at PRWeb.com |

Thanks Griff!
Now I hope others can learn by this example to not wait so long before doing something. See, I registered with PRWeb in April. What I did not know then was when you place an order with them, a customer service rep calls to verify your info, get a list of keywords and make recommendations for change, all before publishing the article.
Knowing that now, I can feel more comfortable submitting something "less than perfect" because there is help, not only with online examples, but from a real person.. Sure there are cheaper services, but they do not offer the assistance that PRWeb does. |
