Hello NewMom0208,
I'm not sure where to start to answer your question. There are a lot of paid tools out there that can provide much of that information (statistically, not financially, however with many of their statistical results, you can do the math), but I don't know what you have at your disposal.
For starters, you can take some of your keywords and search the main search engines to see what ads appear with them in the search results. Generally speaking, the ads that show on the first page of results are those making decent money, and more often than not, they are affiliate ads. (This is also a good way to get an idea of what the "competition" is doing and how they're doing it.) Look for similar ads / affiliations across the search engines. Those that appear across multiple search engines' results are probably earning well.
If you are using Firefox browser, there are plug-ins for it that can provide some insight to the popular (read: earning) sites that appear in your search results (SeoQuake being one of the better ones...IMHO).
You can also (if you haven't already) check your affiliate banks, like ClickBank, to see what products appear for your keywords and see how they stack up in comparison by examining their ClickBank stats / ratings.
Not sure if any of the above is of any use to you, but if you can give us an idea of what tools you have to work with, maybe we can get more specific.
Please keep us posted and,
P2P !

As per tools, I do have firefox, wordtracker.
However, I think I can use your tips as they are. And they are free! |

Internet Explorer does not have all the same plugins that Firefox has.
Leading people to a link that has nothing to do with our conversation is an example of what I referenced in your other post about being comment spam. If you want to promote a site, put it in your signature, not in the body of your posts. |

Hi Mom,
I have not signed up for http://www.keycompete.com (yet) and have only used the free features. However, they can show you the primary compeditors for specific keywords.
SpyFu is somewhat similar I think.

Here's my guess:
Depends on the affiliate company your looking for... lets use CJ as an example. Now this use to work way back when with the search engines and they have of coursed matured with time.
I remember at one time searching for a unique string of CJ affiliate coding to see what was going on. Now if we use this theory and it works, you can add a keyword to the string and see what happens.
example "dpbolvw.net/click" natural
This will pull up sites, but you will have to look at the results and look for a full CJ link versus bogus results. Once you find one, then you can look at the domain to see your competition.
Was I on track with this question? |
