I am having a lot of trouble selecting products to sell.
Whenever I find something I like, it doesn't have an affiliate program, or it is not sold by the manufacturer, so it is sold in sites like drugstore.com.
I went to clickbank and all I found close to what I like are some books on raw food.

I have read articles about how to select and have read magazines, forums on my topic, also searches on Amazon and eBay.
Am I trying to hard?

My niche is healthy nutrition by condition (diabetes, weight loss, heart disease)
(although I am also open to alternate niches such as "natural mothering" and "environmentally friendly living")

I need to break the code; I think that if I can select the very first product, it will be easy to go on.

Why am I unable to find a product to sell when there are hundred of thousands? Mad Mad
Any insight will be highly appreciated

Hi NewMom0208!

What I would suggest is to do some research to see if anyone else is selling the same or similar products that you want to sell. If you find some, find out who THEY are affiliating with. Then you can apply to the same company(ies), create your own spin / promotion method, and place yourself in front of that money flow.

Hope this helps!

P2P! Cool

have you tried paydotcom it might have the same problem you encountered with clickbank but still no stock, there's a link on my blog for their site.

Also you may try researching supplements as your healthy living approach would touch on this market especially glutamine suplements and things like that.

Have you tried writing your own ebook? If there's nothing in your field then go for it. Need any help with this just shout. If you can write the word doc I'll show you how to turn it into a pdf for sale.

Both Commission Junction and Clickbank have lots of potential products for you. Get inside them and learn how to look. These networks pay you directly.

At paydotcom you are at the mercy of the individual merchant. A lot of them aren't making any money either.

Wow, it took me a while and I was getting very frustrated.
But I finally decided to start by promoting products I used to facilitate breast feeding, affiliate program for one of the vendors is available via CJ. Thank you Lowell!

They pay only 8% commission, but I need to start somewhere. Low commission might serve as motivation to build high traffic and aggresive marketing campaings.

I need to print a W-9, but will do so tomorrow, I don't want to wake up baby with printer Wink

Thank you again! Very Happy

Are you writing articles on this topic?

Got a blog?

If not they'd be a great place to start.

Good Luck

That might be motivation to work harder, but keep looking for other products that pay higher commissions. That would be even more motivation. It is natural for people to work harder (and smarter) when they earn more from their efforts.

Once you get those commissions rolling in, you will want to look around for a baby-friendly printer.

Thank you Jim
Yes, you are right and I was about to pass on this as well due to the low commission, but I guess I just want to get started and it is clear I have an issue (that in an understatement) in finding products to sell. I''ll keep on looking while I promote this anyway.

While I don't want to jump from one idea to the next, I believe that if I find a product that is substantially better, it will be worth the switch. I can promote my 8% products for now, my main gain will be the learning and the experience. Makes sense?

dotcomsecretsuk, yes, I have a blog where the articles were a little all over the place around health and they were purely informational. no affiliate links
wisecoveydotcom is the site.

I think I am registering another domain which will be more related to 'lactivism' / lactation support. Somethink like whitegold.com.

Thank you all for the feedback, keep it coming!
