I know that I have read how to do this somewhere and for the life of me I can't find it now that I want to add it to my site.
Can anybody tell me or point me int the right direction of how to add that Icon that shows up in the address bar - look up - see ros's http://net...... and see the little picture next to that - I want that![/b]
Help!

HeyDinger!
That's called a 'favicon', the file is named "favicon.ico", and you can make one yourself with any graphics editor. It can only be 16 x 16 pixels, but whatever you want to put within those parameters is fair game, text, images, you name it. Save the file as "favicon.ico", upload and replace the current "favicon.ico" file, and PRESTO!, instant custom favicon.
Hope this helps!

Hi Dinger
The is a site dedicated to favicon at http://www.favicon.com
The site contains everything from what a favicon is, to resources on creating the image and converting an image to the .ico file type.
Hope that helps. |
