Ok, I know you can’t make everything look the way you exactly want on every browser, but when the banner layout knocks out your page links that’s not good. I was able to play around with it and get my links working again, although I had to compromise the look I wanted between IE an Fire Fox, when I look at my site in Opera it is all over the place.

Are there any sources of information where it may explain, how to help to get your site to work across multiple browsers?

You can look through the CSS Tutorial on w3schools.com. There are details on positioning content and layout with CSS.

I go to that site a lot, it's a great source for all aspects of web design.Though I didn't notice anything with regards to other elements interfering with links.
