Hello

I was able, thanks to Lowell, to send my affiliate link via regular email, it works.

But, can I make it so the actual link doesn't show my affiliate number?

I mean, I want the hyperlink on the email text to say something else and not the actual link, is that possible?

Remember I am using outlook or yahoo directly to send the email

Hi NewMom0208

Did you say that you were sending these recommendations only to friends?

If so, I really wouldn't worry about showing your affiliate ID so much, especially if they're not Internet marketing savvy folks.

Another option for you to consider is using a service like tinyurl.com which gives you a new URL to replace your affiliate link.

I hope that helps!

Cheers,

You are right, since it is a list of trusted people, it is ok.
Ther are expecting the links and know I would make a comission if they decide to buy

Thanks for keeping in perspective

True. Only Internet Marketing-type folks would be able to pick up on the fact that you are sending them to an affiliate list.

If, however, you still want to cloak, you have a couple of choices. First, you could do what's called a meta-refresh, where you send them to one of YOUR domains, and then set that domain to automatically forward to the affiliate link.

Second, you could use a service like cloakreferer.com to create a harmless looking link that redirects to your affiliate link automatically.

Hope this helps.
