About two years ago I tried affiliate marketing, and failed miserably, I had no direction, no solid analysis on what niche to compete in. I was just pulling stuff out of the air and rushing through it.
So about a year ago I bought Rosalind’s book “Make a Fortune Selling other people’s stuff online.” I started to get inspired once again, this time I really wanted to make it work, I’m proud to say that I have started to teach myself HTML & CSS and I’m enjoying it very much, and with some practice
I’ve also been able to really do some actual research on keywords, competition, and demand. It felt so good to be able to put all those numbers together and make a real educated decision, not just pulling stuff out of the air. I haven’t made any money yet and have no website yet, but finally being able to have a plan in place and a direction of where I want to go is so exhilarating. |

Hi Cav
Having a plan before a website is a good move. Too many people see a potential opportunity, throw something together and hope for the best. It fits right into the saying, "Fail to plan, plan to fail".
You on the other hand, have taken your time to make a plan. With that plan you can refine it as you put it to use. One thing that I urge you not to get caught up in though is spending so much time planning, that you accomplish nothing.
Since you have a basic plan to guide you, the next thing to do is: something - anything - start putting it all together. Even if you feel that everything is not perfect, which it never is, at least you will have started doing. While you are putting it all together, we are hear to help guide you. |
