Hi All,

I just wrapped up my first read of Ros's Super Affiliate Handbook and I'm preparing to move forward. I want to focus my affiliate site around a metropolitan area.

Has anyone else tried this? For example, local restaurant & business reviews or things going on in the area. I'm trying to get a feel for the income potential. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

All I can say is use wordtracker and google searches to determine profitability. As she explaines on her handbook. What do you think will be the type of products you will affiliate with?

Thanks for your reply NewMom. I actually decided to take my affiliate page in a different direction. When I entered this post I wanted to focus on a local demographic but hadn't decided on products. My site will center around Health & Fitness, I'm just stuck on the domain name right now.

You know Doug, you might want to reconsider.

First thing you look for in a niche,
is something you like or are familiar with.
And being familiar with your own area is grossly overlooked as a possibility.

Thank you for your reply. I've been brainstorming about ideas for the last month or so and I finally found something that I want to build on. I put the regional idea on the back burner for now but I plan to integrate it sometime in the future.
