| Hello, I have a newbie question for you all. I am trying to get started with affiliate marketing. I have joined clickbank and choosen 2 products to promote. I am now receiving tons of e-mail warning me of people that steal your affiliate commissions. I read the Super Affiliate Handbook on commission stealing and I am more confused then ever. Should I just buy the cloaking software to be safe? How do I know this may be happening to me? Remember I am a newbie, e-mail is sometimes too complicated??!! Thank you for any information. Erin |

Hi Erin,
Don't get flustered over the little things.
There's too many to get stuck on.
Yes, affiliate theft is real.
But don't let it stop you from going forward.
And as far as buying a script?
Don't.
Here's a simple solution for you:
copy/paste this code to a file:
<?php
header("Location:PUT YOUR AFFILIATE URL HERE");
?>
Now save the file as "index.php"
Put this file in a folder on your site.
So you might have the following:
www.your-url.com/recommends/product-name/index.php
Then you would direct people to:
www.your-url.com/recommends/product-name
Now you're cloaked.
And you can reuse this for any and all links.
Hope it helps!!
Brad. |
