The more I look into this "affiliate marketing" I can see that contrary to what one reads about earning $$$ in a very short time - it is difficult and will require perseverance and hard work. Hopefully the journey will be fun.

Sadly, many people are under the misconception that millions can be made in affiliate marketing with just a few mouse clicks. Most of it is due to slick marketing techniques by money-grubbing marketers geared toward those who sincerely want to improve their financial situation, keep hearing that there is $$$ to be made on the internet, but have absolutely NO clue what is actually involved. These slick marketers prey on the naive, knowing they can seduce them into buying a program that will "turn their lives around over night", and don't really care if it leaves a sour taste in someone's mouth. The marketer got the mark's money and moved on to the next mark, and because of today's society there are a lot of marks for them to rip off.

Fortunately, there are honest and straight forward marketers like Rosalind who tell you right off that it takes time, effort and perseverance to make it work. Those who are looking for instant gratification will always be disappointed because they lack drive and discipline to work. I too am happy that you found Rosalind's program early in your quest because you have had your eyes opened early in the process. You needn't buy another thing now until you have studied and applied Ros's techniques and figured out how and what you want to market.

The next great thing you did for your quest was to join this forum. In it you will find sincere people like yourself who want to do affiliate marketing RIGHT for the long haul, and who will share what has and hasn't worked for them without trying to relieve you of your hard-earned dollars in the process.

I belong to many forums but, of all of them this is my favorite due to it's honesty, sincerity and the openness with which experience is shared. I have learned much from those here who have gone before me and shared what they have learned in order to make (not just) me more successful. The fine folks of this forum will do the same for you. Please don't hesitate to ask ANY questions you have, and share your experiences both good and bad, as there is a lesson to be learned by all who are willing to acknowledge that no matter how much we (think we) know, there is always room for improvement.

You can be as successful at this as you want to be and have your fun journey at the same time. The nature of your introductory post tells me that you have what it takes to make this work and work well.

Griff is absolutely right. It does take time and dedication before and after you start earning any sort of income from affiliate marketing.

I'm sure people have said this before, but do what you love. If there is a particular field you enjoy best, pursue it.
