I want to do a site for people just getting into affiliate marketing. Basically it will be kindergarten for affiliate marketers, however with only about 6 months a research myself--would this be a good idea? I have the passion, the drive, but not all the knowledge. Thats why I just want to start it at ground level for newbies !!

Any thoughts????

If you wait until you know it all then you will never start.

I am learning as I go here.....so don't waste any time just gathering information. Get going. We will make mistakes and screw it all up sometimes but then we fix it and keep on going.

Many people waste their entire lives just sitting and planning on doing things and never taking action. You know you have the stuff on the inside to make it happen......Learn to fear regret more than failure.

I just started a few month ago and have made many mistakes. I will continue to mess it all up but I am learning that all the mess and struggle makes me feel good when I fix it and most of all learn what not to do.

First thing I did was purchase Ros's Super Affiliate Handbook.....then read it and read it, and read it. Then go network with others who encourage you and want to see you succeed. Don't waste time with negative people. They are going nowhere. Sorry to be so crude about it but we only have so much time here on this planet and I think we should spend it working toward something that is worth while and feeling good about. What ever that is.

My wife and I started out blogs around the same time. She has a niche blog about crochet because tha is what she loves. I blog about my journey with making money as a blogger and also my journey building a niche social network site. Most of the information I used to get started I got from this forum.

Anyway, I am a massage therapist and love the industry but also very interested in blogging and affiliate marketing. I found a great need in the massage industry for a social network. There may be a need for one in the industry of your interest. No matter what I am a firm believer in building a business around a community of people. People will always build business and not the other way around.

Anyway, just wanted to encourage you. I am so new myself but everyday I am becoming an expert in my chosen field. You are too....

Keep your mind on the end result you wish to accomplish and just like the Disney movie "Meet The Robinsons" says...."Keep Moving Forward"

Read personal development books like, Think And Grow Rich, Think Like A Winner, The Secret, etc....

Check Out my blog and leave your comment...it is not even close to where I want it to be but it also never will be. I will always do my best to plus what ever it is I am doing.

Hope That Helps......
Your friend,
Rob West

Thanks for all the kind words. You said exactly the way I feel. I learn new things everyday and implement that into my "learning curve".
I wanted to say a quote that I got from my good friend Otis Collier. "Success Does Not Happen Over Night but One Night Success Happens"
This line alone has kept me going, hopefully it will for everyone else too!!

Rob has some valuable information here, CKLEF. It's true that you just can't wait until you know it all.

Things in affiliate marketing move so fast you never know what the latest development will be. So, you can either wait, or start now with whatever knowledge you have and grow from there. Along the way, you'll be learning new things and I'm sure the newbies that look to you for guidance will appreciate any new information you have for them.

All the best with your venture. Smile
