Thanks Kimberley

That should help. I am going through those to see how they did it. I was able to put a contact form into a WordPress page once, but not sure how I did it.

Every time I tried it after that, putting a form inside the editing form broke the editing form so the rest of the page was outside the box. Weird stuff.

Glad you found that page and shared. Very Happy

Okay,

I have a new question. Since it's Wordpress related I thought I would post it in here.

I am absolutely baffled! I'm wanting to add articles to my articles page and have it set out much like Rosalind does on sage-hearts.com or either insert a more tag for each article. Either way, I'm having trouble. In regards to the 'more' tag in wp, it's just not happening, and if I just write the articles in succession I am unable to have the 'add a comment' etc at the end.

Can anyone help??

Thanks in advance!

Alrighty, I think I'm onto something!

I've been fiddling around with the codes. What I have done so far is I added Articles & Blog to categories and placed a code in the header for what categories I want shown on the page bar. It worked! They are now in the header and when clicked it shows a portion of the articles and you can click to see more!

I am now in the process of taking the 'articles' out of the category side bar. So, I'm fairly sure I've got it!

FIGJAM!

Cheers!

The comments box will be below the full article, not below the introduction. So in order to comment, someone would have to click the more... link to read the full article and comment.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jim!

Sorry it's taken so long to reply! In a couple of weeks if you have time, may I ask if you can take a look at my site before I let it fly?

It is a different web name than above as during my stint away, I came to realize my niche and my current one was not it. So, I have been very busy getting it going. And I'm hoping I'll have it complete soon. So... if you can take a look at it when it's done, I would be muchly appreciative.

Hey, thanks again for everything! I hope you're doing well!

Cheers!

Any place else, that would be a dangerous request. Very Happy

Other than a few stray grammatical issues (that give it a human touch), there are only 2 things I would change:

1) In your linking structure, you are using the default ?p=x to reach the posts. Go into your Permalink options and select Use Custom settings and enter:
/%postname%/ or /%category%/%postname%/

NOTE: When making the Permalink changes, you will either have to make sure the .htaccess file is writable (chmod 666), or copy and paste the code the system gives you into the .htaccess file.

You will see a dramatic SEO effect, both within the site and for linking from outside the site.

2) Your introduction on the Top 10 Butt Exercises has a smiley in the last sentence that creates a huge gap between the lines. Either move the smiley to the end, or remove it completely so the lines flow evenly.

Remember to go through the Privacy Statement and fill in the blanks.

Overall, excellent work so far! While I am not what you would call a health nut, I found the information captivating, both in content and presentation.

One more thing. Consider changing the site title from your domain name to something more descriptive, such as:

Healthy Fitness Lifestyle
Fitness Tips For a Healthier Mind and Body

Be creative while keeping your primary keywords in the title and sub-heading.

Hey Kim,

I would give some tips, I wouldn't hold back.
Promise.
But I was thinking about you developing your content a bit first.
At least your front page Wink

Anyway, Jim is right about the permalinks.
You should do that before anything,
and I didn't think about that.

But, there have been SO many problems with the custom links,
I would hesitate to just use /%postname%/ or /%category%/%postname%/
Instead, you should include the index at least.
(Read up here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks )

Having your post names keyword relevant is important.
And true too with the catagory.
So getting them in the title is important.
But I go with something a bit more extensive.

Maybe it's just to be safe, but I use:
/index.php/%monthnum%/%day%/%year%/%category%/%postname%/
(Maybe I should re-think it. Looking at it now, it seems really long. haha)

Hope it helps.
And as you get closer to launch,
we will see about some more critiques Wink
Brad.

You know,
...I'm gonna feel stupid about this. Laughing

But things change, and I'm ok to admit it.

After I wrote the last post here, I started to realize something.
As I was doing some blog surfing I noticed that a lot of the big blogs out there have changed their links. And I'm thinking, that if SEOBook, Copyblogger, Jack Humphery's Friday Traffic Report, and even Matt Cutts are doing it, then the bugs must have been worked out.

Yeah, I'm willing to eat my words if they serve my community.
I've even changed my own links already.
I used Jim's suggestion of "/%category%/%postname%/".
Simply because both will contain keywords to work with.

Thanks for making that realization for me Jim!!
Hope it also helps anyone reading.

Cheers!
Brad.

I live by the rule: Ignorance can be educated, but there is nothing you can do with stupidity.

I am glad your ignorance has been educated. Laughing You are not alone though. I think most of us feel ignorant in at least one area sometimes. For me it is every day. That is why every day I have to learn at least one thing, no matter how big or small it may be, or I feel like the day was wasted.
