Hey all,

I am still wet behind the ears and using Blogger for my affiliate efforts.

Just wanted to get some feedback on the whole idea of starting with that format. I have not finished reading the Affiliate Handbook yet but just wanted to go ahead and ask about Blogger.

Thanks a Billion,
Rob West Very Happy

Hi Rob,
Welcome to the forum. You'll learn a lot here.
As far as blogger goes, I've used it, but I
went over to wordpress for one reason. When you
install wordpress on your server, you "own" your
blog. With blogger, you don't own it and if Google
decides to do away with blogger your stuff will all
be lost.
I'm probably paranoid, but that's the way I see it.
Hope this helps,

There are many reasons to chose wordpress over blogger.
And there are some reasons to use blogger as well.
Check out this post:

And do a search in the forum for other "wordpress" topics.
I'm sure you'll find lots.

Of course, ask more questions if needed.
K?
Hope it helps!
Brad.

Welcome Rob!

I agree with Cliff on the Blogger, but it is a VERY good way to get your blogging feet wet without being overwhelmed. Blogger is a good experience stepping stone toward more powerful blog & CMS programs. Wink

I also agee: 'tis better to "own-yer-own" and be more in control of your destiny. . .(mhuahaha! Twisted Evil )

@ Cliff: It's easy to be paranoid when everyone's out to get you! (Everyone else is just jealous 'cuz the voices only talk to me Laughing !)
