|
|
Hi,
Am planning a parenting affiliate site but want to affilitise it for both a U.S. and U.K audience for buying links via commission junction etc Has anyone had any experience/ideas on how to do this best ie does the homepage have two buttons, one for each country before they enter the rest of the site so that the affiliate links are relevant to their country?
Any ideas/advice appreciated... |

You could do a few things.
You could have two big flags on the homepage and make users select US or UK. Or
Have two subdomains with unique content.
us.mywebsite.com
uk.mywebsite.com
Don't forget there are some spelling differences. No point optimising for "colour" in the US when it is spelt "color".
Hosting could be an issue too. Having a .com and hosting in the UK means you may not appear under google US search rankings.
So it might be a good idea to have two seperate sites. Host the UK one in the US and the US one in the US.
Just some thoughts
