|
|
I have identified several clickbank products I would like to sell. I know I should use a squeeze page in order to develop a list. The products I want to sell also request a name and e-mail. After a potential buyer gives me his e-mail he will be asked for it again on the sales page. Is this going to be annoying or confusing to potential buyers? Does anyone have any suggestions how to handle this?

Hey Brian,
2 things that might help.
First, when setting up a new campaign,
I don't start out with name capture.
I like to test the campaign first.
So, get some clicks, then test the
fact of a second name squeeze later.
Up to you...
Also, you could completely bypass
the sales page and send your visitor
to the order page if you want.
I forget the code to send the visitor
to different page, but it's not
the "&url=" code for clickbank.
That doesn't work for them.
But to bypass the vendor's squeeze,
there is a way, I just can't remember it.
"Maybe someone else knows??"
Sorry, but I hope it helps a bit anyway!
Brad. |

Bradley thank you for your suggestion. I am not going to worry about it I guess. Iam probably making more out of it than necessary. Besides potential customers should not mind giving their e-mail if I give them something in return such as a report or newsletter.

Well I recommend having a squeeze page for all the reasons you already mentioned and yes, you can bypass the merchant's squeeze page.
I don't think many would appreciate having to give their information (filling out a form) in order to then find out that they need to fill out yet another form.
But if they do fill out a form... is should certainly be YOURS not the merchant's. (Unless the have a sales system in place that works in your favour in which case you may want to be putting prospects through that sales funnel instead). |

Hi,
Beware if you try to bypass the merchants sales page...
I was promoting a clickbank product that had a lousy sales page so I created my own sales page with a link to the merchant's order page...
Everything was going great...good conversion rate...
Until I received an email from clickbank saying the merchant had complained and if I didn't stop they would suspend my account.
Needless to say I stopped...and started promoting their competitor's product..
Cheers,
Darren
PS. I think you would have no problem bypassing a merchants sales page if you get prior approval from the merchant first |

where do you usually go to promote your products? and how do you promote it..? do you build your own webpage or post in forums?
Say if you have like a long list of products, do you just list them off in one topic or something? kinda confused a little since I just started clickbank not too long ago, and it's been sitting there for a while now O.o |

In relation to what your talking about .. I have been wanting to promote a click bank product but the owner has set up an optin page in front of the sales page .. and I want to set up my optin and then send them to the sales page .. how do I work out how to get to the sales page on the site instead of the owners optin ?
I guess somehow he is tracking the affiliate link but I would prefer to be able to set up my own for testing purposes ?

Hi Brian
You got this exactly right..

And you don't necessarily need to use a squeeze page. Sometimes placing it in the middle of the copy in a 'learn more' sense works just as well, if not better.
However, if you do that, be sure to bring people back to exactly the point where they were reading after the signup is done.
Cheers,
Ros |
