I don't really have an affiliate marketing success story - YET!

But I do what to share a little something about myself to hopefully inspire some to believe they too can succeed at anything they pursue.

I was a severely abused child growing up which left me extremely ill-prepared to survive in the real world when I became an adult. I did terrible in school and ended up dropping out of high school. This left me, in my mind, unable to hold a decent job nor did I have any sense of responsibility. I ended up homeless in varying states for over ten years.

Today, I have a family with two boys and currently make just over 6 figures. In my mind I do not believe I am a success yet, however, the few who knew me those years say I have come a long way and that I should pay it forward in some way.

Please understand, I do not say this to brag, but to inspire. It is my personal mission to help anyone who may have suffered some type of tragedy or even suffering abuse right now to have a different mindset.

I have learned over the years that it does not matter where you are today, you do not have to accept those realities.

I did not accept mine and choose a different way. I believe it was Steve Covey who said responsiblity = the "ability" to "respond" as you choose. I chose to be positive and productive.

Prosper Well,

Bill

That is inspirational Bill. The choices you made helped you become who you are today. You turned what many others would consider an excuse and defeat, into your own success story. I for one applaud you for that.

Success is measured differently by each individual. Most of us were taught the success is making a lot of money and sitting in their mansions. Others consider success to be achieving a higher education level, such as a doctorate.

Still others consider the number of lives they touch and people they help to measure their success. Those are the people who are, in my mind, the true success stories, because it is through touching the lives of others that all else comes to be.

You should be proud of your progress. In my mind, you have already succeeded. Congratulations and thanks for baring your hardships to inspire others.

Thank you guys, you are far too kind.

While I don't makes millions of dollars, I felt I was successful just crawling out of the that situation and being a "normal" citizen.

But the one thing that brings me to tears of joy is seeing someone accomplish something they thought they couldn't do. Or seeing someone who, for all outward appearance seems unlikely, succeed at something thought impossible by most.

It would touch me deeply knowing that I had inspired someone to think a liitle bit different about themselves and succeed at something thought impossible.

I agree... That is REAL success!

Again, thank you.

Thanks for jumping in, Bill!

Success should NEVER be measured by income! True success is being happy with yourself and your life at whatever stage it is. It doesn't mean it can't be improved upon, but being content in all you do is the true measure.

Look at all the folks who have won massive amounts of money in lotteries, etc. Most of what you read about them a month later is how miserable they are because of it. Part of the reason is that they didn't EARN it, therefore didn't know how to administrate it. They also had absolutely no PLAN in place on the slim chance they WOULD win and again, didn't know how to handle it.

I can not say that I'm successful right now. I'm just getting started. Maybe in my studies I can say that I'm successful. I graduate from college at the early age. When I was in kinder junior, I skip Kinder senior and Grade 1. During my college days, I took up Eligibility Examination and thank God I pass. We are 9 friends who took up that examination and only 3 of us passed. After my graduation from college, I took up a Licensure Examination for Teachers and I pass. I was so grateful that even I'm not an excellent student back in my school days, I can tell to my children that I was very successful to my studies without getting a grade below 2.50. I'm very happy of my achievement now how much more in the future.

Hi this is my new posting her and I couldn't agree more.

No matter the adversities that you have faced in your life, do not let them dampen your dreams. Anyone can succeed in business, the key is to never give up.

My business, Tiber Creek Corporation, a web marketing Enterprise, had a rough start (as many new business do) but we kept at it and it is now producing a good lively hood for us here at the company.

The moral of the story is, do not ever surrender. Wake up every morning knowing you can succeed at what you try.
