=========================================================
Dear Rosalind:
On page 216 of the Super Affiliate Handbook it states:
"... get 90% of your site together before applying to programs." (bold for emphasis)
However, I have noticed that certain affiliate networks require that you have an already established website before applying to their program.
Question: How can an individual apply to their programs and design a website accordingly, when they are unable to see their advertizers?
Respectfully,
Sir Richard
P.S. Any information regarding this issue would be appreciated.

Dear Sir Richard,
The point is that your site should have plenty of content on it prior to applying for affiliate programs.
Merchants want to know that you are adding value to the mix and don't intend to just stick up banners here there and everywhere - which is what some new affiliates have a tendency to do.
You might want to consider monetizing with Google Adwords until you can add programs to the mix.
The point is not to be in too much of a rush to get advertising links all over your site --- get great content up there first, get visitors interested in what you have to say - THEN invite them to buy the products that you recommend.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Ros |
