It does most certainly work for affiliate marketing as many of its subscribers sell affiliate products on their SBI sites. Another good clue is that it's been around forever and is constantly improving. It's geared toward those who are fairly new, so don't sweat the high-tech stuff that makes your head spin.
They also provide tons of juicy info for nothing.
You sound like you're wondering about it, but haven't yet seen it. Take a peek!
You can find out what some folks using it think right here. |

Hi there. I think SBI is excellent for affiliate marketing. And I would highly recommend it for someone who has no business experience and never built a website before.
But, you have to work hard. It won't build your business for you - just point you in the right direction. |

Hi,
SBI is so so...
Good if you have zero internet experience.
BUT here is the big downfall of SBI...its price.
You have to pay $299 every year to renew your site.
If the price was a one time shot of $299 I would say go for it but at $299 every year I think it's too expensive for what you get.
Cheers,
Darren
PS. SBI case studies show traffic stats but hardly any talk about earning any real money (except a few who have used it to promote existing brick and motor offline businesses)
PPS. I've given up my three sbi sites and I am getting better traffic and earnings with non-sbi hosted websites
PPS. I would go with Rosalind's business model-pay for traffic using PPC...it takes a lot of time and effort to get traffic the SBI way...months and months...and that is if you are lucky...and getting profitable traffic using SBI can be even more difficult. |

I always thought that $299 a year was a pretty good deal, considering they keep adding on features constantly.
Sorry to hear your experience wasn't so positive. Did you address your concerns to the SBI support team? They're well known for unusually excellent customer service and if they don't get it straight after three tries, you automatically go to the Big K - Ken Evoy.
Heck, all the info you get is worth lots more than $299, and you'll more than make that back even if you decide not to renew! |

Hi Dan,
I may have been a little harsh with my comments about SBI.
It's a great product with tons of great features.
And yes ...it will work for affiliate marketing.
Great place to host your site if you are new to website design and internet marketing...
Cheers,
Darren
PS. It has one of the best and most supportive forums on the internet...you are never alone ...lots of help and advice...
PPS. What I don't like about SBI is that it's $299 for every site you have with them...so if you have several niche sites promoting different affiliate products the costs can add up...
Update: Downside of SBI: I like to test out new niche markets for new affiliate products...some work out some don't but with SBI it costs you $299 for every new domain and website... |

That, unfortunately, is true, Darren.
A beginner focused on one niche can do well and usually don't only because they don't take full advantage of the resources.
For multiple niches, I like XSitePro best. It's straightforward enough for beginners and versatile enough for those more experienced. |
