Hi,
I am looking at serious ways to generate income on the web.
I am already taking some classes and joined a group helping me get enlightened with Forex Trading. I am really starting to like it.
While searching and coming across forex as a popular way to generate income, I was also continuously hit with the term "affiliate marketing". Although I was interested, I didn't come across any source that could effectively convince me that they'd teach me how to do it- until I came across this site.
I must say the writing of Ros on this site is very appealing to readers and really gets their interest. I was very excited once I found the site but after reading the reviews of her book on Amazon was again wary of what Im getting into. I came across many negative reviews of her SAH - it reminded me of what I went thru looking for good mentorship in the Forex Market. Most people stated rather than teaching, Ros was more interested in promoting. I read this book by James Dicks re: forex and all he did was pump his software - didnt learn a thing.
So based on this experience, I will continue to subscribe to her newsletters, frequent the forum and her blog, but will pass on her book.
Looking forward to interacting with you all. Thanks. |

Hi rayray,
I always recommend sticking with one thing at a time anyway.
So I'd suggest that you stick with the Forex until you make a go of it, or until you decide that it's not for you and only then perhaps consider affiliate marketing.
As for which book to buy on that subject - well, Amazon reviewers represent only a fraction of those who own the book - and in most cases they won't have the latest version.
You'd have to do a little more research to know that many top affiliate marketers got their start with the Super Affiliate Handbook, and that I write the Affiliate's Corner column and was asked to write another book on affiliate marketing for McGraw Hill based on what I teach in the SAH. Bottom line, it gets both thumbs up from the leaders in this industry - on whom I'd base my recommendations - not anonymous Amazon reviewers.
Food for thought. |

Hi rayray,
I just wanted to give a second opinion for thought!!!
I have been looking into Affiliate Marketing for close to a year! I have bought quite a few books and courses with all the 'know how'!!!
Through this experience I can actually say the last book I bought was SAH from Ros and I will not be buying any more! It is really indepth from start to finish and very easy to read. She even tells you how to run AM as a business with all the info you need to do so.
So if and when you are ready to venture further...I strongly recommend buying SAH before any other product...... Seriously I am not plugging just going by my own experience. I wish I had seen SAH before any other products I have bought...would have saved time, ink, paper and CASH!
Good luck with Forex....thats also something I would like to get into, but as Ros said....one project at a time
Cheers
