|

Hello everyone,
I am brand new to affiliate marketing, I just put my site live a few weeks ago, I am on a PPC program with Kanoodle and I bought a package of 10k visitors from Buildtraffic. I am getting between 200 to 300 visitors a day but my commissions don't even reach $1.00
Is there anyone that can give me a word of advise here?
Should I invest more in PPC? (dont have a lot of money)
Should I just wait to see what happends?
Honestly, I am getting a little disapointed because I put a lot of hope, effort and time to this site and I dont see results
Please help. Thank you

Hi Veronica,
Welcome to the forum!
I'm not familiar with that company, nor have I ever paid for traffic. My question is this:
Did you pay for RANDOM traffic or TARGETED traffic (did they say it would be traffic that is interested in YOUR niche, or just an unspecified 10k visitors)?
Either way, DON'T get discouraged! Lots of people expect results "over night" and some do get them but, most people's results take time, experimentation and a constant effort to improve as their experience increases.
Look for other ways to drive free, targeted traffic to your site. A blog can help, as well as writing press releases about your site, or informative short articles related to your niche, all of which can be done for only the cost of your time (which you should also have a dollar value for).
If you lack the time, motivation or experience, put those traffic dollars toward outsourcing to someone experienced in these methods that will focus on your niche.
Don't give up hope - keep seeking ways to drive that targeted traffic to your site.
PERSISTENCE PAYS! |

Thanks GriffG for your reply.
I guess that company is sending me "just traffic". They said that i would receive clicks from people interested in "shopping" so I thought it was a good idea. But by the way you explain it to me I think PPC is more effective, so I am doing something right.
I will look into writing an article or the other methods you told me.
Thank you very much.

When you don't have much to spend, PLEASE don't spend much.
If only those places had to show a disclaimer that read, "Don't buy this crap. It's worthless!!" Unfortunately, they're lying in wait for you and promise the moon before you find the good info...like here!!
A few well-informed and non-backbreaking purchases with strong reputations and longevity will do you the most good. I recommend you start (heck, anyone start) with Ros' book and Perry Marshall's book. Use 'em while working online all the time.
Worked for me.
And set a low PPC budget to start!! |

Yes, it is because of Ros's book that I am here. I love her book.
I am going to concentrate on PPC advertisement. I think that doesnt matter how little I invest in PPC but at least I am going to drive "targeted" traffic to my site like GriffG said. And like you said Mr. Reinhold it is going to be quality traffic.
I am happy and possitive about this, at least I feel better than yesterday
thank you very much for the kind replies I've received so far!!!!

Glad you noticed, Brad!
I tell that to Ros every day. Funny I haven't heard from her in a while...
I'm planning some changes at WAHumor this fall. It'll be going from clumsy toddler straight to gangly adolescent - like my oldest boy who fixes himself a snack right after finishing a full meal.
And people...listen to the Brad-man! He's in the know!! |
