|
|
Hi All,
Currently, I'm researching and gathering why other people are failed in the affiliate marketing business.
Here are the reasons I came along:
1. Lack of knowledge and experiences
2. Lack of vision and affiliate marketing plan
3. Lack of effective market and product research
4. Promote only one affiliate products at a time
5. Lack of quality content site, articles and reviews
6. Lack of well-known reputation in the market
7. Lack of consistency in the business
8. Lack of initial investments (e.g. cash flow, facility and so on)
9. Lack of affiliate traffic strategies knowledge
10. Don't know how to get things done
11. Lack of determination and self-improvement
12. Give up too quickly
I'm happy to hear from you. Your contributions are so welcome!
Cheers,

Thanks for your list, 'Z'.
I think #12 is perhaps the most crucial mistake that too many Internet marketers make with new businesses --- they give up far too soon, and probably just at the point at which their businesses would have turned the corner had they pressed on.
"NEVER give up" is a credo that every successful entrepreneur has firmly fixed in their minds - actually beyond that - it's just a way of being. |

What about the lack of time? There is only so many hours in one day.

|
|
Hi Jamie,
Time, or lack thereof, can certainly be an issue for those with full-time jobs, families to take care of, etc., etc.
I think however that we can all make or find time when we're serious about building a business.
I like to use the TV-time example. Just stop watching and spend that time instead writing a blog post or an article.
Or, get up an hour earlier.
As my Mom always says, 'where there's a will, there's a way'. So, anyone who really wants to make time for their business will.
Cheers,
Ros |

| Why there are many failures in affiliate business is because of people and people only. Many people do not have the ability to choose the right affiliate program.I have seen, most of the people are not following the directions that is their in affiliate marketing. Because of that, many fail in this business. |

I suppose that I am again going to be the cause of some exasperation for Ros, but I cannot see how writing an article or posting a blog, both of which will never be read by anyone is going to do anything for an affiliate marketer's sales.
I must clarify this point of view by saying that I never write, nor read, articles and especially not blogs and I've never met anyone that does. |

Great list. I can add one more. Many people fail online because they don't really want a business. In fact, they would never dream of starting up a bricks and mortar business, but they try to set up online because it seems easy and cheap to do, and they put in very little effort.
Unfortunately, all most of them want is to make easy money as quickly as possible, and when it doesn't work, they complain to anyone who will listen that affiliate marketing is a big scam. |

I don't plan to give up anytime soon! I believe in it.
A lot of people read blogs and articles online grumpyoldman! One thing I've learned is that if you are genuine, and you provide people with useful and helpful information, they will respond in kind by clicking your affiliate link. |
