I have been searching for a good host from a few days. I have come across BlueHost and it seems decent to me. They offer unlimited domains hosted and also much more storage space than I'll ever use.

Have anyone used them? How are they? Is their support good?

Hi Amu,

Blue host is a good host,
but if support is your concern,
I suggest you looking at 'hostmonster'.

First, they have a bit better package.
Second, they are priced a bit better.
Third, I just signed up and REALLY recommend them.

Here's the thing:

I currently have 4 different hosts.
(I'm speading out geographically)
And hostmonster is one of the most impressive hosts I've come accross.
Plus, they are only a few miles from me.
And when I found that out,
I decided to pay them a visit IN PERSON.

I was left NOTHING short of impressed.
And I'm telling you,
I can run customer service people through the ringer!

Because I have such experience with hosts,
I'm putting together a hosting review site.
Not quite done yet, but I'll edit this post when it is.

In the mean time, here's my small review:

If you compare bluehost and hostmonster packages side by side,
you will see the following differences.

(You can click the above links and open 2 windows side by side)

BlueHost has:
300 Gigabyte Hosting Space
Host UNLIMITED Domains
2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts
3,000 GIGS of Transfer
SSH (Secure Shell)
SSL, FTP, Stats
CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL
2000/2002/2003 Front Page Extensions
Free Domain Forever
Free Site Builder
24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support

HostMonster has:
300 Gigabytes of Hosting Space
Host UNLIMITED Domains
Unlimited Pop/Imap Email Accounts
SSH Access (Secure Shell)
3,000 Gigs of Transfer
SSL, FTP, Stats
CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MYSQL
Front Page Extensions
Free Domain Forever
Free Site Builder
24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support

They claim "Best Support in the Industry".
And in my opinion, it's VERY close to true.
And rememmber, that's based on visiting them personally.

You can see the differences in bold above.

Another point to using hostmonster is that: unlimited email is vital!
Ros even mentioned how it saved her bacon one time
when she started to get lots of spam.
Because she sets up a unique email addy for EACH vendor,
she was able to see right away where it was coming from.
And by just deleting ONE email addy, it stopped.
Without this, when a vendor sells your addy to a list,
you have no way to know who did it.
And with all your campaigns coming to one addy,
you have no choice but to deal with the spam,
because you can't shut down your email addy
without shutting down all your campaigns.

I hope it helps.
And like I said, when I finish the review site,
I will edit this post, and give the url.

If you have questions, please let me know.
Cheers!
Brad.

I agree with you Brad! HOSTMONSTER is really an affordable web hosting service. I've been with it for a long time. Their service is excellent and i too would recommend it without any doubt.
