I'm very new in this business and have started a blog site which I'm now trying to monetize. I've signed up for and promoted some merchants from CJ and LinkShare, but have come across a merchant whose product I really like. They have an affiliate program of their own but I'm leary about joining because I see it as too easy for them to not pay me. Is there someplace to research the integrity of independantly managed affiliate programs?
TIA for all help.

Yep...online!
Do some Google searches using the company name like this: "Wonder Widget complaints", "Wonder Widget problems", "Wonder Widget sucks"...
You'll find sites, forum posts and blog posts about them. |

Thanks Dan for your response. In truth I had done a lot of "Googling", and following your suggestion did a lot more using a broader range of keywords. I could find nothing negative about my prospective merchant either from customers or affiliates.
So it's time to quit looking for negatives and start expecting positives.
Thanks again, Gary. |
