Hello,
I've read both SAH and Quit Your Day Job, where both have mentioned microsites. When I started building my site, I had every intention of it being a microsite, but now, it is getting bigger and bigger! I'm worried because, I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket with this behemoth site. Should I just plow on (using all the traffic generating techniques)? |

That's a really hard question to answer
without seeing the site or knowing your topic.
Leave us a link, so we can take a peek?
In general, if your site has a theme,
then lots of good content isn't bad at all!
But, let's wait on that till we see your site
Brad. |

Hello Amat123
My initial reaction, like Brad's, is that a BIG site can be a good thing.
My own sites are mostly huge... because I think it is easier to work on 1, 2 or 3 very large sites than 100's of tiny little sites, all of which have a different theme.
You are to be congratulated on all your hard work! (I'm assuming that your site isn't just datafeeds and private label rights articles.)
Cheers,
Ros |

Amat123,
First thing you have to do is your signature, in this way we can take a look at your site (if it's ready).
A huge site is not a good idea if you are trying to sell something or build your list.
When you are building your site you must keep in mind this - What is the purpose - if you have it clear, then you'll build a great site, but if you are building a site only for the sake of build it, then your site will fail.
Keep your site focused and with single things.
If your site is full of things, people get distracted and you'll never capture them. |
