Hey guys,

It'd be great to hear some feedback about my opt-in page. Tell me what you guys think.

Thanks,

Mike,

I realize this reply is a little tardy, but wonder what your results are with your page so far?

Your headline could use a little work, and your bullets could be jazzed up a bit, and some specificity would help. You're using the standard "submit" button, better to say "claim your free whatever" or something like it.

I'm in the same niche, take a look at my opt in page in the sig, it converts very well.

This is cool because I can pop up windows with both
example opt-in pages and bounce back and forth.

I'm not a copywriter and my list, while big, ain't great.
So now that I've established that I don't know what I'm talking about... Shocked

I'll go with 1st impressions:

Mike,

I think you need to get a little more wordy and explain things
more, like Lowell does. Your page kinda reads like a quick and dirty,
just slapped up there, page.

You also give no hint about the 2 ebooks. Are they worth
anything or just some kinda of recycled garbage?

Lowell's page, other than the awful headline formatting, which
obviously works but drives me nuts, takes the time to
explain certain things about the whole system.

There's also enough content on that page that I'd expect
he wouldn't have problems with adwords pricing.

I also like Lowell's earnings disclaimer, "The lawyers made me do it..."

Greg

PS: Either of you guys ever experiment with letting people
bypass the opt-in page to get straight to the content site,
while letting them know that they can subscribe at anytime?

Greg,

Don't like my awful headline? You got me laughing, cause it isn't about liking it, it is about how it works.....I don't like it either.

But right now it converts 50% with the exit pop. It got to where it is over a four month period, from down in the 20% area. Test and tweak etc. I'm also very careful about that traffic that sees it, maybe too careful.

Greg, in my case, since the entire deal is about email list building, the content is all delivered by email. I don't have a sales page, per se, though I do rotate offers and affiliate items of interest on the thank you page. And of course I have special offers for list members only.

I do keep an article archive for members, but they have to get the emails to be well informed of special offers, free downloads, time sensitive stuff, etc.

I'm po'd at Adwords right now, so I have no idea how they'd like it. I was one of the first Google Slap victims back in May. They liked my older longer wordier page just fine, but things have changed in GoogleVille.

Best,
