|
|
I have a product on my site that retails at $79 and earns me $28 in commission. I have found a better product that sells for $39, and will only earn me $10.
My target market aren't aren't necessarily high earners, so price could be a factor in purchasing.
My question is, which product am I likely to make more money from? |

Given that the cheaper product is better, you need to consider trust in the equation. If you don't promote the cheaper product, and it is better, then you're throwing long term results away.
Show them how great you are for saving them $40.
I know if I bought product X for $79, and later found product Y for $39 that was better, I'd be asking for a refund on X.

Thanks for the advice. After looking more closely at the cheaper product i've realised it does have issues. It may have more features but that doesn't make it a better product.
I'll include it on the site, pointing out that although it has more features and is cheaper, it does have downfalls. That way my visitors can make an informed decision. |

That's a good choice. Give people good solid info and show them that you care more about helping them make an informed decision than making a buck and you'll earn their trust |
