Hi Rosiland, I am a begginer on the internet business journey. I've started by purchasing Jim Cockrum's ebook ( silent sales machine) because it best fit my initial idea for making money on the net. Through his newsletter I was introduced to you. The problem I have and the reason I am writting to you is to get your honest opinion on the direction I should go. I ask you because Jim has no forum and you seem to give honest direction to others even if it does not benefit you. I love Jim's book and am learning a lot but one thing I find is that through his newsletter he continues to send me information on all these other internet guru's as well. Im sure they are all good but they do thing's differently and I am getting more confused then when I started. From John Reese to SBI, to Wayne Van Dyck, and yourself he sends me info on everyone, its like information overload.
My initial idea was to try and sell a DIY kit on ebay for removing acid rain spots on glass but the next thing I know he is leading me into affiliate marketing and Business's in a box. WOW, I'm afraid to read his next newsletter in fear that I will be asked to buy something else.
How does someone stay focused on an idea when your being led to every other internet business opportunity out there. I just want to start with a simple idea and take baby steps while doing it. I feel sometimes that since Jim is sharing me this new information it must be good so I read about it and get more confused. Help in Charlotte,NC. |

You're not too far off actually, but the important thing is to stay focused. Don't just sell on ebay, but create your website with your sales letter and then work out a complete marketing plan using some of the tactics you learnt in your ebooks, but turn the tables around, instead of selling someone else's products, focus on how you can get others to sell for you. Use each sales pitch that you receive as a model for your own. Learn from them.
Write some nice articles and submit them to article directories with links back to your site and participate in some traffic exchange programs, add some signature links in your forum posts and you'll start to see some progress.
My guide is to grow one site for 6 months (until its autopilot) and then move on to the next.

Greetings Jen,
I am currently building my subscriber list with the GR Power Leads system for an ongoing residual income project that I am working on.
Visit http://www.getresponse.com/leads_offer.html. I beleive they are to be plugged in to your GR autoresponder. Autoresponder service here is only $17.95 a month.
It's a little spendy, but I feel that both services are well worth the money when it comes to building an email list. Decided to test the broadcast concept, and it made me very happy today to look over my insurance affiliate account.
Warmest Regards,
FJT
