| One of the greatests feelings is when you search the internet and find that someone posted your article on their blog. I was searching google for my article, and found it on someones blog. It just seems more acheiving to have it on someone's blog, then on a article directory. It just shows that your article actually means something. |

It's a really good idea to search Google for your articles from time to time.
Ocassionally you'll find them not properly linked back to you. I then ask the webmaster to either link to my site or remove the article. Then I give 'em a day and threaten to sue if my request isn't complied with. That usually works in my favor.
Cheers,

What do you do to the people who don't respond? I have found quite a few that posted the link, but it's not active. Is that what you're referring to? |

Good question. I sell a few different digital products, and am regularly the victim of outright fraud. People who ask for bullsh-t refunds, having people try to re-sell my stuff on eBay, and also having copyrighted content cloned to no end on various websites.
I'd be very interested in learning how many lawsuits Rosalind has filed against webmasters/customers who have ripepd her off -- and more importantly, learning her secrets to collecting judgments. See, I've actually successfully sued two people, and in both cases, I've ended up with distractions, headaches, legal fees, and a general sense that it's very challenging to actually collect any money.
I've had more success asking hosting companies to shut websites down, and have also had success getting eBay to pull auctions. But in the two instances where I got really pissed off, I followed through with legal action and it got me nowhere.
I think that most scam artists know that when someone like Rosalind (or even me) barks, there's no real bite behind that bark. And even if there is a bite, good luck collecting your judgment.
But who knows, maybe Rosalind has her assistant Joel personally go to collect the judgment, mafia style. |

Wouldn't taking the write-off in the case of monetary loss be a whole lot easier?
Also, have you investigated what's available nowadays to protect your digital goodies? Password- protected encryption and so on?
Believe me, I know where you're coming from. My wife did a search for "The WAHumor Way" just after its release, and lo and behold, at the top of the second page of results, was a link and description for a FREE download of the ebook!
Fortunately in that case, it only took changing the file name to shut them down. |
