I'm interested in using buy-ebook.com on my website. I like their books better or as much as clickbank. They look as though they are either part of clickbank or affiliated with clickbank. I'm sort of confused.
Anyway, my question (to anyone who knows) is that they allow people with a website to offer a free e-book to customers! I like that idea. I was wondering how I would have the rights to give it away free? Would I just purchase it first and then have the rights? Also, being that they are using clickbank in their site, as a way of purchasing, since I already am a clickbank affiliate, would I just use my clickbank login info or join this other company? The books he offers are different that the clickbank books.
I don't seem to be getting any answers from the site, so I thought I would ask here.
Thanks. |

You genuinely tried getting your questions answered from this website, got no response from them, and realistically think you'll get an accurate answer from someone on this message forum?
Doesn't it trouble you, even slightly, that the operators of the website in question haven't seen fit to reply to you?
This may not be the advice you want to hear, but if I were you, I would steer clear of that particular website unless you get a substantive (albeit belated) reply to your questions. |

A very astute point!

Yes, I have thought of that. But then I thought, maybe the person is on vacation....haha. I have e-mailed other companies (good companies) that also don't return my questions that I may e-mail them, so I thought instead of waiting for my answer (it's only been a couple of days) I would ask anyone if they have tried downloading and purchasing things from this website. It does have some neat ideas
Well, I won't do anything stupid of course and I appreciate your feedback. |

In that case, are you comfortable with the idea of building a business that's dependent upon a single person. What if the person is on holiday when you desperately need support?
I'm sorry if this all sounds overly negative, but I'd rather know you'd considered the risks before jumping in. |

There are many of us that have websites that don't have alot of people working the site. I for one am one of those. If I go on vacation, I'll probably bring a laptop. The site sounds like he is an affiliate of clickbank, only offering other books, and ones that I'm very interested in. There are alot of companies large ones too with lots of "worker bee's" that don't always e-mail right away. I don't understand why my question brought alot of dispute. All I asked was if anyone ever used their site.
It's sort of a question like "has anyone ever read Rosalind's e-book", and how did you like it... you know? |

P.s.
I also don't plan to use just his products by any means. My website is very full of all kinds of content and I've included other affiliates too. I just wanted to stick a couple of e-books in for the fun of it. |

Jodi I looked at them before for selling ebooks. They seem to be part of clickbank in that any book you sell is paid through clickbank. But the books often are being sold on ebay but the seller is only getting 60% of the price of the book.
All the books are not being sold by the company but different people putting the books on the site, you will see the same book being sold for various prices, so compare before you decide to sell.
To be truthful if you are looking at certain books you would be better off buying them yourself (some on that site are expensive) and get resellers rights and sell them yourself.
I just checked I have one book there and nobody has bought it even though I am charging the lowest price which is more than I am selling it on my website. |

Jodi, I'm with Larissa on this - I wouldn't do business with anyone who couldn't be bothered to reply to my emails. How could you be sure they would bother to reply to your emails.
I love clickbank, as they handle all the payment methods. But, if you could be bothered to organise a way to receive payments on your sites, as Bev says, it is very cost effective to buy reseller rights to an ebook. You can make your money back from selling just one book in some cases, and the rest is profit. Do a google search on e-book reseller rights. |

Jodi if you are wanting to offer free ebooks there are a whole selection available that you can upload onto your server and be totally in control of.
I listed one book to try the site out and no sales even though the book I listed is the cheapest there and there are people selling the same package for over $10 more.
I wont be listing any more items there, but putting them on my site.
I might be missing something on the site but my understanding is this. I put a book for sale there, I upload it to their server, and they market it. They take 40% commission should they sell it, and you come to buy it and as a sweetner they offer you another book for the same value. They will list what is for sale at that price and you get to chose. I don't think you would be able to offer the free books on your site, just direct people to that site. I am not even sure if you would get a commission on the sale.
Hope that helps
