On my giant "to do" list, what should come first -- should you first have a blog and then later a forum, should you have a forum first and then a blog . . . which should come first?

As a forum user yourself, consider what you look for in a forum before you use it..
Forums need a lot of work to cultivate. You also need an audience that's willing to participate. Few things detract more from a forum than a lack of activity.
Unless you have a group of people eager to participate, I'd suggest starting with a blog.
Also, consider what you're hoping to achieve. You may find that upon closer inspection, one is more appropriate than the other. |

| I would agree a blog which you can get up and running fairly quickly. Also it doesn't take a lot of work but a forum you need to monitor because of those who come and spam forums. |
