Hello,
Can someone please tell me what is the best affiliate program is to get into???
I am trying to find affiliate programs that pay commissions of like 75% (or at least something that is descent). I have found a lot of different items on Clickbank.com and I have heard/read that the website SFI.com also has products with descent commissions.
Can someone please help me out and give me some clear cut information on affiliate programs and high commissions???
Thanks,
Bobby Howerton |

Hi Bobby,
I think that you are going to look pretty hard for commissions in the 75% range. Most are much lower than that.
I can say though, that with digital products like e-books and such you can easily find merchants that pay in the 50% range. Clickbank has a number of products that fall into that category.
Focus on a few good merchants that pay a decent commission of 50% or so and you can do quite well.
Hope I was of help. |

Pops and/or anyoneelse that can answer some questions,
I searched on Clickbank.com and found some merchants (35 to be exact) that all have something to do with "weight loss". To me it seems that this would be a good area/field to try and sell eBooks in since more Americans are becoming overweight and looking for something to help them loose that weight.
Do you think that my thought on this is correct or incorrect???
Now what do I do??? Do I make a website and give it a Weight Loss theme?
How do I sign up to become an affiliate for each merchant???
Here are some of the merchants (I think that is what they are called) that I found: (Can you explain how to Read the Pay Stats for each merchant?)

I know someone with more experience will answer you in more detail, but when I go to a "store" online and at the bottom of the website it will have an "affiliate" button. This takes you to a page for people wanting to join them and shows you what to do. They usually say who the affiliate program they are with such as Commission Junction, or Clickbank etc...
I haven't joined any yet because I'm not finished building my website, but maybe the store's site links with clickbank and you sign up there. |

Hello Bobby,
There are any number of approaches you can take to that. I'll just recommend two...
1) You could promote them all, with each product having it's own endorsement page on your site, along with a book review. Be sure to distinguish each product from the other... ie. what it's basic premise is. If it's low-carb, say so... muscle building, fat reduction, etc. etc.
2) Choose the one that you like the best and that pays the most per sale.
Frankly, in the one's you've mentioned, I'd go with 'Fit Over 40', not only because it pays the most, but because I've met Jon Benson, the author, squeezed his right bicep and KNOW that what he says works.
Cheers,
Rosalind |

Rosalind,
That's as great a testimonial as I've seen anywhere lately!
I went to Jon's site but unfortunately he's doing some work on his affiliate program and apparently no one can sign up right now. I'll keep tabs on it and post when it's back up.
Thanks for the recommendation, though. I plan on using it.

| Well, as of today, May 5th, when you click on the Affiliate Link for "Fit Over 40", you still get the "affiliate area is under redevelopment" message. |

| As of today, June 14, still no means of signing up to be an affiliate for Fit Over 40, which is a shame. |

As the ebook is being sold through ClickBank, you don't need to sign up as an affiliate before you can promote it.
If you look at Rosalind's post in this thread, she uses a ClickBank affiliate URL.
I'd suggest having a read of this and this in order to find out exactly how to construct your own affiliate link for any product sold through ClickBank.
If you just want to know how then replace the CLICKBANKID in the url below with your own ClickBank ID and you'll have an affiliate link for Fit Over 40 ready for use.

Don't wait for someone else to put together the affiliate section for you. You have the means to be able to promote it yourself, right now. |
