Greetings Jen,
Welcome! Well, I myself am having growing success with insurance lead affiliate programs.
Simply, this involves referring interested individuals to major, respected insurance websites by way of their affiliate programs using the affiliate links and forms they provide. If its a legitimate lead, you get paid. Simple as that. www.CJ.com is a great source of Insurance Lead Affiliate Programs.
Take a look at my Home Owners Insurance Information site accessible by way of my signature below to get an idea of how I am going about it. My site qualifies the individual, by offering focused content and information on the insurance lead topic; so the majority of my sign ups are legitimate. The number one benefit of this type of program is that you're NOT selling a blessed thing. People love FREE, and in this unique circumstance free giveaways DO pay! LOL
As for free advertising, try www.adlandpro.com for starters and do searches on Google for terms like "free classified advertising"
Also, http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ can help you find search terms for free advertising that you can pop into Google to find free advertising sites. Remember to go for the high PR ones, and you might also want to check the traffic of the websites you have in mind with www.Alexa.com under the Traffic Rankings tab.
Well, I sincerely hope that this little bit of advice is of truly of help to you; cause I've been there, believe me.
Warmest Regards,
FJT, Founder

Hi Jen,
You can find lots of products to promote at places like:
http://www.clickbank.com
http://www.paydotcom.com
http://www.cj.com
What are your interests? I always find that it is much easier to promote products that I am knowledgable about and interested in. If you are short on cash you could always start up a blog at blogger.com about the topic you are interested in and promote related affiliate products on your blog.
A really good method of free promotion would then be to write an article about the niche you are interested in and then submit your article to article directories with a link back to your website, blog or affiliate program in the author's resource box. This is what I always do when I build a new website. It's free to do and it helps you get traffic to your new site or blog quickly.
Hope that helps
Cheers,
Suzanne |

Hi Scrittibear,
Sorry it has taken so long to respond. Staying in touch and keeping each other updated would be great. My mind is so boggled right now. There seems to be a lot to learn.
Thanks,
Jen

Hi Suzanne,
Thanks for your advise. I will check into these sights. I am a little lost with blogging, though.

If you really want to become a super affiliate, buy the Super Affiliate Handbook and follow it to the letter.
There are somewhat effective free advertising approaches, but darn few.
You need paid web hosting and a paid autoresponder to start. You can get both for a total of 30 bucks a month. Some web hosts offer autoresponders as part of their package.
Start with the book. You will not be sorry. |

Where's the daddy? I hope he's still in the picture! Any chance of just getting a part time job? Can't anyone keep an eye on the kids while you're at work for a few hours a day? That would be the easiest and most logical way of making some extra money. Short of that, install a webcam on your computer and run a virtual peep show. Just kidding. |

| To be honest, I think it would be tough if you don't have money for PPC campaigns, web hosting, etc. Like any other business you do have to put some money into it especially if you want to become a super affiliate. You don't need the cash layout as you would open a land-based business. Start with Ros's Super Affiliate Handbook and go from there. |
