I do have another question - I have been reading about Affiliate Cloaker (software tool - about $47) on a ClickBank Forum. It mentions just about everything you discussed - It provides a way to link to an order page directly or to a specific product page. Now, I plan on using Google Adwords and want to create a direct link to the product page in the destination Url - can I use Affiliate Cloaker in this manner? For example, I just run the software, cut and paste my ClickBank Aff. Url and the join the Specific Product page Url to it,and like magic, I get my new html cloaked Url?

I ask this because the software requires a web host account and I had not intended at this time to have a web landing page. I just want to use Google Adwords and send folks directly to the product page.

Also, ClickBank has an option called Enhanced hoplinking to direct prospects to a specific product page (deep linking) and I am assuming that, with the Vendors permission, I can make these changes to the link code that Click bank provides ....but I am not sure what to actually do with that modified code once I’ve made the changes!! I mean, obviously, I can paste it into the destination URL on Google Adwords, but I do not have a web host account and....surprise surprise, have never actually built a web page nor uploaded link text via 1&1.com or GoDaddy (I mean , how hard can it actually be!) I guess I need a basic lesson on how to redirect URLs from a web hosting service (suggestions? resources?)

So, once again - your thoughts?

yesh.

Hi David,

In your Adwords campaigns, you will list the
display url and the destination url separately.
So you don't really have to cloak your links for adwords.
In fact, I think it might be against the rules.

Speaking of google's rules, you have to let people know you’re an affiliate.
Google wants you to have something like "aff" in the corner of the ad.
Be SURE to read googles policies and statements before using Adwords.

I know you said you were going to check out Brad Callen's
free report "Adwords made easy".
It explains all of these details, it will make Adwords "Easy", promise.
It blew my mind to see such a straight forward manual put together.
He really did a good job on it.
( here's the url again: http://itsallabouttraffic.com/recommends/AdWordsMadeEasy.pdf )

For other types of campaigns like clickbank, you can just use a 'meta refresh'.
The cookie will already be on the user's computer once they click,
and if they change the url it won't matter, you still get the credit.
A lot of people are turning to meta refresh pages instead of cloaks.
But they DO still have a purpose, I use both for different things.

I have a web tools area on my site.
PM me if you still need a cloaking script.
They don't require hosting.

...K?

Hope all this helps out a bit.
Brad.
