Hey there. Think you should've put this in the meet and greet section, but welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

It's a drive-by spammer, probably an automated script that signed up a new member and posted.
How can I tell? Look at the website in its profile.
In my opinion, the forum needs more moderation. |

So you think the forum needs more moderation?
Moderating a forum can be dull and boring. If it were fun and profitable, no doubt Rosalind and/or her assistant would be doing more moderating.
Regardless....
Don't let yourself be suckered into being the "trusted member" of the forum who does all the moderation work for free. |

True enough.
But more accurately, don't let the "moderating" interfer with your business.
It can become worse than email in stopping you from taking action.
Because you start to feel obligated to the community you feel fond of.
But,

It's not all about money.
If you can be an active part of a good community, (like this one)
you build respect, learn lots, and "give back" which is good for the soul
I moderate for a HUGE private community.
And it's both for free,
and one of the most rewarding ventures I've ever undertaken.

Rewards like learning can not wear a price tag,
if that's your true objective.
And your able to prioritize well.
... but again, be careful with your time.
It's truely the only commodity you have to spend.

Wow.
That link leads to what you consider to be a forum?
It looks more like a sales letter to me, but...
...really, in your own imaginary world I'm sure it's a great forum.
I'll let you get back to moderating it. |

Holly Cow Kid.
I did say it was a "private community".
This is the page that introduces the community,
nothing more.
Sorry if I confused ya
And it was hardly the point I was making,
sorry ya missed that.
Still hope it helped some a bit,
but I don't have enough time to bicker about it.
So, "nuf said"?
PM me if you have a question, no problem.
And if it did get you curious,
I've been sharing the community highlights with my community.
So here's a taste:
http://www.ItsAllAboutTraffic.com/business-model-video.html
It even mentions our mysterious forum.
To YOUR Success.
Brad.
p.s.
Sorry Ros.
If this is in ANY way unacceptable,
please let me know and just delete this post.
Cheers! |

hmm....uncalled for?
I'm a member of the 10in90 program and it really is an amazing thing Kevin has put together and a superb community. I wouldn't feel cheated paying for the amount of info I've got from it.
(sorry to add fuel to the fire, just felt I had to defend the 10in90 there lol)

You're right and right again.
I banned the "drive-by spammer" (along with a number of others) today.
And yes, the forum needs more moderation. Seems like moderation consitutes my only participation though. By the time I'm done weeding, I'm ready for a break and don't want to get into a discussion.
Sigh.
OK, I'm not complaining about being busy (which I am), but I hate to ask anyone for help 'cause everyone is busy - or they should be.
So, what's a girl to do?
Cheers,
Ros |
