Anybody else catch John Resse's conference call a couple nights ago. It was about lead generation affiliate programs and it really opened my eyes on possibilities.
For example, someone buying a house will need a mortgage co, realtor, mover, insurnace etc. They sell the lead to each of those companies for $8-100 each (with permission of course). That really adds up. and the best part is they get paid whether the customer buys or not.
This is the link to the conference call: link removed
I did some research and found a mortgage company paying $100 a lead!
Angel mortgage. Note: link goes to the app page, but affiliate sign up is at the top of the page.

I listened in.
I have to admit that 'lead generation' just doesn't appeal to me. I have spent all my time up to now promising my visitors that I would never sell their information - so collecting information to sell now just feels kind of icky.
It certainly sounds profitable though doesn't it? |

I think that adding lead gen to an existing website could be a challenge. They would get pretty mad if you just sold your list off to the highest bidder.
If you are up front with them in the beginning, then it works.
For example, Lending Tree is a pure lead gen website and nobody complains about it.
I have done real estate investor sites and am amazed at what motivated sellers will put in a form for a complete stranger.
