Getting new pages indexed more quickly

Hello all. I found out a little trick for getting new pages indexed more quickly.

There are several steps, so here goes.

1. Set up an account with Blogger.com or whatever blog service you prefer, and do the advanced set up to host it on your own server. Call your blog "-------.com's update blog." Add a link from your homepage: "Check updates to this site at our blog."

2. Next, go to google.com/ig and set up a customized homepage. This is pretty cool as you can set up your page to show your favorit comic strips, news, etc. Click "Add Content" and then, "Add by URL." Then add your sitefeed url. You can find this in your blogger acount, under Settings>Sitefeed. Your url should end with "atom.xml" Copy and paste this into your Google page set up.

3. Go to Yahoo.com and click My Yahoo, and basically repeat step two, choosing "Add by RSS".

4. Everytime you update your page, adding a new page or expanding an existing page, make a quick blog post.

5. Go to Pingomatic.com, and ping your blog.

6. Go to My yahoo, and google.com/ig, and check if your new feed is displayed.


This in not guaranteed to get your pages indexed, but if you check your site meter report later, you will usually see that Yahoo and Google have spidered your site.
