I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good service or software for adding a search function to a site. If anyone know something that has helped them, let us know.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Kevin

Google of course has the ad-sponsored search (which can do a site search or web search) but that assumes your site is well-indexed.

A easy-to-use site search that I like is Wrensoft's Zoom search. For small sites, it's free (up to 50 pages) and supports PHP, ASP, ASP.net Perl/CGI, ASP.net or Javascript. The free version doesn't index Word, Excel, PDF or Flash pages, the paid version does. There's also a Dreamweaver extension, and it works with FrontPage.

Highly recommended - I use it on my own sites and on several client sites Smile .
