Hi,

I'm new to all this and beginning to get to the analysis paralysis stage, with so much to read and absorb. I've read Rosalind's book which has been a great foundation and have started a project but I feel a little hand-holding would be great for me.

I came across the affiliate classroom and have started their free trial period. The infomation is great, loads of it, and there is a structured project programme to follow. However, the model seems to be very much build loads of small sites - which I think Rosalind doesn't favour.

If anyone has any experience of or knowledge of this program I'd be grateful.

Thanks,

smf

I did join the program for awhile and followed along. Seems like they have tons of good information. I think they did an interview with Ros. I had too much going on to continue with them so I cancelled. If you have a project going, stay focused on it. Our chief enemy seems to be to much information and not enough focus on one thing at a time. My 2 cents

I haven't joined. The only problem I see with lots of small sites is, you would need to bring out tons of newsletters, and that is not just writing but research and adding to your site also. Lots of sites would be fine, if you were employing people to do all these things for you - but do it in the beginning and you would just burn yourself out.

Honestly, I know I am just a kid - but I have seen my mother do all this - she makes a lot of money, but she has two offline businesses, and two online businesses and all she does is work work work. They do all make a great profit, and she does employ people - but not enough to stop her working silly hours. I am so happy, because she has finally put one of her offline businesses up for sale - it is a franchise, and she makes over $10k a month profit from it, but I am so glad she is giving it up, because she will have more time to spend on her other businesses, and a couple of the people who run the franchise make her life hard because she is a woman and a single parent.

If you want to be happy, try to build one thing at a time, and if you do take on multiple projects make sure you take on plenty of people to deal with the workload.

Hey All,

I am particularly impressed by the quality of Anik's work (and that of his team) at Affiliate Classroom. Also impressive is the fact that Anik is only 22 and he started affiliate marketing only a few short years ago.

If nothing else, take a good look at his business model.

With that said, I sooooo agree with...

I'm guilty, guilty, GUILTY myself! Smile

MOST true!

I'd rather do one, two or three sites really well, than 100 really poorly.

Building a reputation and credibility are impossible to do in the latter scenario, and those are such key ingredients to success on the 'Net!

Cheers,
Ros

I was a member for about 1 month.
The site contains great info, but I had problems staying focused because there is so much of it! I totally agree with what others said in this thread.
The calles are great info, though, and you can listen to them even after you cancel your membership, if you choose to do that (they are delivered to the newsletter subscribers, even those who are not members).

Good luck with your Internet quest!

I'm still a member at Affiliate Classroom and having trouble staying focused. I usually just download and read the magazines but I don't think you need to be a member to get the magazines.

Another site that I acutally spend a lot more time at is Wealthy Affiliates. The two guys doing the site wrote the book Beating Adwords. They've got a lot of good information there too but with more of a focus on using Adwords effectively.
