Hi all,
A question for you experienced marketers.
I have been submitting a few articles to article sites with my resource box attached. When I look at my AWstats these links show up as incoming links to my site.
Also, when I enter my url in alexa.com my page comes up and listed below are the sites that link to my site. However, when I click the 'overview' link at alexa and look at the line that says "other sites that link to this site" it says "no data".
I'm confused, but lately that's been my natural state.
Can anyone explain this? (the backlink part, not the confused part, heh heh)
Thanks in advance. |

Hi, These links won't show up straight away, and especially not with Google - I think they only update quarterly. Also, you need to get links from the right sites and high ranking ones especially. I wrote a lot of articles for a couple of my site, and didn't make much effort at all with my richer brat one, as that site really started off as more of a fun thing. The ones I worked hard on took a long time to get any PR at all, whereas the brat one got a PR 5 pretty quickly.
If you keep writing and marketing long enough, it is worth it, but the problem is not knowing which webmasters will pick your articles and put them on their sites. |
