| I am generating traffic from yahoo search marketing and want to view my conversion rates from my yahoo account as it seems you can see how effective at converting each search term is. To do this I have to copy and paste some code onto my order page. Problem is, as an affiliate the order page is on the vendors site, not mine. Is there any way to paste this code effectively onto my site? Or is there a better way for an affiliate to calculate conversion rates? |

Hi fordio,
Are you sending traffic directly to your merchants or to your own web pages?
Second, it IS possible with some merchants to have tracking installed on their order pages. Doesn't happen often, but it can happen if you have an established relationship with them.
Tracking as an affiliate is tricky at best. However, you can make fairly accurate assessments if you limit your links out to each individual merchant or product from distinct product or endorsement pages. From that point I count on the merchant's stats interface.
Cheers,

Hi Fordio,
Yup, that's the best way to do it, but also the most difficult in terms of tracking.
I usually my 'base' conversion rate across a category or program, and then work to improve it from there.
Make lots of notes when you make changes to pages or your newsletter, etc.
Cheers,
