One of the marketing options I am considering for my new site is using an opt-in email marketer to send my ad copy out using their subscription list.
(Link removed by moderator).
The obvious advantage is that I (allegedly) get quick exposure and visitors in more volume than I could waiting an indeterminate time to build my own list.
Does anyone have any thoughts/experience on this type of approach pro or con?
Thanks! |

Hello Sammoro,
In a word, that's 'spam'.
Sending offers to your own list is the only way to guarantee that folks don't get spammed.
Using those list brokers is a good way to get yourself banned from many affiliate programs too.
If an affiliate manager sees a complaint about spam that includes your affiliate link or website address in the complaint - you will be removed from the program.
Is it worth the risk?
Cheers,
Ros |

| Yes, I agree with Ros. These are usually spammers and would result in little or no conversion. Plus, you could instead suffer a backlash of irate recipients! |
