I was wondering if any of you had taken part in any of these giveaways. I had an invite to visit the easter one not as a partner, but have since had an invite to be a partner in another one coming.

I suppose I have a load of questions about them, but wondered if any of you had taken part and what your thoughts were.

For me looking at some of the ones happening, I was shocked at how much of the stuff on offer was supposed to be new and never seen before yet numerous people were saying the same thing. And I had them on my hard disk before this happened.

Also there were no end of links which went nowhere and one even had a message come up that the site was suspended and if you owned it please ring and pay the bill.

I would only want to take part as a partner if I was offering something worthwhile. I don't see the point of the OTO when we all know that isn't the case. People are not dumb and they know that OTO will be offered an number of times. I have membership with a certain site (seen as a guru) and that OTO is available everytime I log in. I am looking at some of the ebooks I have been writing which have to be proofread and then converted into a pdf format so they will be brand new, no rehashed stuff except what I had written as a mentor on a diet site and it is like 4 years of mentoring there.

If any of you have any tips and advice I would love to know before I jump in and then suddenly find myself sinking because I dont have enough bandwidth or have used all my autoresponders or whatever else I could forget to do.

Thanks
Bev

Hi Bev,

I've participated in a few of these over the years.

Everyone should appreciate that the person putting this kind of deal together is looking to generate new newsletter subscribers from each of the 'guru's' who places a product into the mix.

It therefore is to his or her advantage to post as many free bonuses as possible.

And note... only once was my offering actually reviewed for quality content.

So, are a few issues... getting lost in the crowd and possibly having your product lumped in with low-quality goods, which I think tarnishes everyone's reputation by association.

My experience is that those are the first subscribers you'll lose as well. They signup, get their loot and then dump you... hmmm.. reminds me of some guys I've known. Smile

On the other side of the coin - if you see a product that you really want, then by all means sign up. You can always unsubscribe from the list later.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Ros
